Only a small number of artisans worldwide can work with the distinctive Japanese technique of mokume-gane — literally “wood-grain metal.” The process uses demanding materials such as copper, brass and nickel silver, each with a markedly different melting and forging temperature; that is its central challenge.

But those who master this complex alloy achieve an extraordinary result: a unique and exceptionally beautiful pattern in metal. When both the case and dial are created in mokume-gane, the design reaches complete harmony.

The unique monocoque case is machined from a single piece of metal and has no caseback, ensuring water resistance and fully protecting the movement from moisture, dust, pressure, and various mechanical impacts.

A safe green luminescent compound is applied by hand to the dial. It charges by absorbing light energy from any light source and emits a bright, long-lasting glow in the dark.

The watch maintains water resistance and accurate timekeeping even at great depth thanks to its special construction: a monocoque case machined from a single piece of metal, special seals, and a unique pressure cap with a patented triple-sealing system that protects the crown.

AGAT watches are equipped with an automatic winding system: responding to the natural motion of the wrist, the rotor steadily builds power reserve and maintains rate accuracy without the need for daily winding.
